Welcome to Day 14 of the 21 Day Meditation Challenge

DAY 14: Calm Mind We’ve all heard that if our environment is a mess, so is our mind and vice versa. A home or office that is overwrought with clutter will likely have a similar effect on our mind, which will take on characteristics of being overburdened. Likewise, when our minds are overrun by thoughts, ideas, deadlines, and to-do’s, our environment will usually be a mirror image of what’s going on inside our internal world. Taking the time to clear out the old thoughts and ideas from our mind is an essential ingredient to keeping our head on straight and focused on things that are new, fresh, inspiring, and purposeful. ~Chopra Center~ Our word for the day is CALMNESS

Writing Prompt for today is, take out a pencil and paper and take a moment to write down all the things that are cluttering your mind right now. Include chores to complete and, concerns and questions you have. As you write each item down, know that you are clearing your mind to be more fully present here and now. When your list is complete, put it down.

It’s Day 14 of the 21 Day Mindfulness Meditation Challenge. Set your timer for 14 minutes and BEGIN with your meditation session, focus on your breath and your intention for the day. To begin, take 5 deep cleansing breaths and then just BREATHE in a natural rhythm. Today take your moments to practice CALMNESS in all that you do. Be clear in your mind, body and spirit, manifesting a sense of cultivating positive, clear loving focus that you can direct and manage throughout your day.
